With a disappointing last-second loss to the Jaguars (21-23), the Colts enter their bye week with a losing record (2-1) for the first time since 1998 - Manning's 3-13 rookie season. There aren't many good things that can be said about last week's game with Manning throwing 2 interceptions, and the defense giving up 236 rushing yards to Jacksonville's Fred Taylor and M. Jones-Drew. The only redeeming factor was the final 77-yard drive led by Manning and ending with Addai's 2-yard touchdown.
Even with these first disappointing games, I'm going to wait until after the Colt's bye week before I begin to pass judgement, and I'll still wearing my blue number 18 jersey despite the offweek, in hope that my pride will roll over for next week. However, with Manning not himself lately, Clark's weekly injuries, Sanders out for who-knows-how-long and a broken stadium that hasn't seen a victory, even the Texans (0-2) can be a problem for the Colts.
If Houston loses to Jacksonville (which is likely), the Texans will be clawing for their first win of the season against the Colts. Therefore, the Colts need use this offweek to prepare as if they were playing for the superbowl if they want to beat the Texans. Because if Indianapolis doesn't win this next divisional game, they can start kissing their playoff spot bye, bye, bye.
