NFL Season Extension

Okay, first of all. How awesome is the fact that the NFL football season might be extended to 17 games? I mean, for any avid football fan, he/she knows the importance of just…that….one…more game to get them and their team into the playoffs. I know that if the Indianapolis Colts had one more game to play, well, let’s just say it would have been a completely different outcome, than those darn New York Giants.. Pfft.

Anyhow, I’m new to this, so please forgive my earlier rant. I’m excited to join these communities, and I’m aware of the confusion that one may have about why a Southern California girl would be interested in the Indianapolis Colts. Well! That’s a story for you! Remember when the Tennessee Titans were good? I mean, possibly good, because, you know, losing by a “yard” is still losing by a touchdown…Anyway! Remember when they have Eddie George and Steve McNair? When they actually had rushing and passing yards that MATTERED? Well, I was in Tennessee, watching that wondrous playoff game in 2003 (Tennessee v. Indianapolis), and I just fell in love with how well and efficient Peyton Manning was at quarterback. I was a believer from then on.

Now, one might call me a blasphemer for not rooting for the San Francisco 49ers or even the Oakland Raiders (because, you know, they once were the LA Raiders, which made SO MUCH more sense). But I’ll have you know that the teams just don’t keep my interest. They’re boring. With ugly plays and, in the case of the Raiders, ugly owners. Who likes Al Davis? Not me! Not anyone.

This is a testing blog, so I’m hoping people are amused…
